The Comprehensive Web Analytics Program

Our comprehensive analytics program is accomplished in several stages:

  • Stage 1: Overall Site Analysis, Benchmarking, and Tagging
  • Stage 2: Ongoing Site Monitoring
  • Stage 3: Quarterly Testing

During Stage 1 we’ll develop a view of your website from 30,000 feet. This will include evaluations of the technology used, site design, usability, content, search engine viability and other measures designed to determine the effectiveness of your site in achieving your business goals.

Any available log files are analyzed in an attempt to determine the recent history of your website and establish benchmarks for for future analysis against changes made to your site. Tags, or small bits of code, will be added to your site’s pages to track all future activity.

This stage of the process typically takes longer than the other stages for the obvious reason that background data must be gathered and analyzed, the benchmarks must be established and improvement suggestions developed. This typically takes 8-12 billable-hours to accomplish and is presented in a professional presentation format.

Program Fees: By the hour only; $125/hr.

Stage 2 is the ongoing analysis (usually weekly with a monthly face-to-face meeting) of your site’s activity on all relevant levels. Site improvement suggestions from Stage 1 are implemented slowly and measured against established benchmarks to determine their effectiveness. We typically act as project manager with your other designer, webmaster, hosting, etc. vendors so that you can focus on other aspects of your business. However, should you prefer to manage the vendor interaction yourself you may surely do that.

Program Fees:
Option 1: By the hour (typically4-8 hrs/mth); $125/hr.
Option 2: Monthly Retainer Contract (6 mos.);$ 95/hr.

Stage 3 involves quarterly testing of campaign ideas, ads, forms,—any element of your conversion process that evidence indicates may be hindering your response rates. Whether these activities are done quarterly or monthly as needed is largely a budget consideration since there’s always some aspect of a website that can be improved with testing.

Program Fees:
Option 1: By the hour (typically4-8 hrs/mth); $125/hr.
Option 2: Under Retainer Contract;$ 95/hr.

    • Why Customers Won’t Buy (Despite Getting To Your Product Page) March 11, 2010
Imagine you own a toy-truck company. And on your toy-truck website you sell red trucks. And blue trucks. And green trucks. And yellow trucks. And mauvish-orange trucks (ok, so I’m running out of primary colours) Which means you’ve pretty much got a Products Page with loads of trucks. So logically, or so you think, the customer will head to your website, and […]
